CHAIRMAN KPT TO HOIST FLAG AT KPT HEAD OFFICE TO MARK THE 71ST INDEPENDENCE DAY OF PAKISTAN
The Independence Day celebrations will take place at KPT Head Office with sounding of sirens at 08:58 hours for 2 minutes to end at 09:00. It will be followed by national flag hoisting by the Chairman KPT Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar HI (M) T.Bt on this ceremonial occasion to mark the 71st Independence Day of Pakistan, with the great fervour.
The Chief Guest, Chairman KPT Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar will also review guard of honour from battalions of Port Security Force Department, Port Fire Service Department, Traffic Department, Port Civil Department, Sports Department, Marine Apprentices, Trade Apprentices, Sea Scouts and Pakistan Navy Band on the occasion which will be attended by all the KPT officers and workers.
On this the occasion, the Chairman KPT Admiral Jamil Akhtar will also initiate the plantation campaign through tree Plantation at KPT Head Office under the theme of “Green Pakistan”. Prizes will be distributed to the best employees of the year 2017-18 and also to the students of KPT Schools on securing A-1 Grades in SSC Examinations 2017-18.
Later, national songs will be presented by the school children on the occasion to add more colours to conclude Independence Day proceedings.
