Cultural Heritage Tour of Students at KPT Archives Gallery

Karachi Port Trust in collaboration with IA M KARACHI was organized Cultural heritage tour program 2019-2020 for the students of various schools of Karachi. About 380 participants from six schools of Karachi comprising students and faculty members have visited KPT Head Office Archives Gallery along with representative of I AM KARACHI. They were received by Manager Archives & Library, Mrs. Ghazala Shabaz Khan along with Manager Public Relations, Mr. Shariq Amin Farooqui at KPT Head Office.

Media was invited to cover these events in which briefing was given by Manager Archives Ghazala Shahbaz covering history of KPT Head Office building from 1916 when it was built till the present. Besides the brief history of the KPT Head Office Building, the students were also informed about the evolution of Karachi Port in 1887 with briefly touching upon the development facets that the port has witnessed during its period of existence till date. They were also shown models of KPT flotilla on display while sharing functions and operational capabilities these flotilla during the occasion.
